Recently, tea has become more popular than ever before for its health benefits and its uncanny ability to assist in reducing all things that puff out the stomach. Social Media has been set on fire with brands such as; Flat Tummy Tea,  MateFit, FitTea, KaOir Slimming Tea, and TinyTeaTox.  These teas which range from $23.99 to $49.99, for a couple of weeks worth of tea that ensures a flatter more toned physique. Celebrities such as Nene Leakes, The Kardashian Sisters, Blaque Chyna, and many others. It doesn’t stop there, many plus models and bloggers have also hopped on the band wagon of “tea-ing away the lbs”.  I don’t know about you, but for me budgeting is essential in this new phase of my life, so spending $50.00 on two weeks worth of tea is just not feasible. So after careful research I bring to you the effective DIY teatox for my budgetnistas!!!!

Flat Belly Tea Recipe

  • 1 cup organic hot green tea
  • 1 Tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
  • Juice from a lemon half
  • Stevia or raw honey to taste

1. Brew 1-2 tea bags of green tea in 8oz of filtered water.

2. Add apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and stevia to taste.

3. Stir and enjoy!


Flat White Tea Recipe

  • 1 cup organic hot white tea
  • cinnamon
  • Juice from a lemon half
  • raw honey to taste

Best to drink after a heavy meal if feeling bloated or just as a replacement to your coffee every day to keep your stomach flat


Secret Detox Drink Recipe

Total Time: 2 minutes

Serves: 1



  1. Warm the water.
  2. mix all ingredients together.
  3. Best served warm but drink at desired temperature.

  • 1 cup grapefruit, orange, or pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons of applecider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon raw, local honey (optional)

Blueberry-Carrot Smoothie Flat Belly Drink

Two of the best sources of antioxidants in one rich drink? Start your day the healthy way with fresh fruits and veggies containing the vitamins and minerals that our bodies crave. To keep that slim waistline, use non-fat milk or yogurt.

Grapefruit and Rosemary Flat Belly Drink

This grapefruit and rosemary drink combines nutrients that are beneficial for your health. Freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice is a powerhouse containing vitamin C, which helps to detoxify the body and lower cholesterol. Rosemary helps to detoxify the liver, which improves digestion and increases blood flow.

Boil 1 cup of water with 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary needles (place in a tea infuser if available) and 1 tablespoon honey.
