Good Day Lovlies,
It’s September 6, 2018 and today marks the official first day of NYFW….the most important week in fashion for the United States and a monumental event known world wide. When I was in middle school I would stay glued to E! News to take in the highlights of the week and drool over all the custom ensembles the stars would be dressed in. I always imagined what it would be like to be in NYC during NYFW just to feel the energy of the city, or perhaps trip over a celebrity’s shoe walking down 5th Avenue lol. Well….the wait is over, I’m finally going to be in the city during the week for an important moment: The CurvyCon.
If you haven’t heard of The CurvyCon or seen the footage from previous years, it is one of the premiere events for the plus-size community. From workshops, shopping, and networking….its most definitely an event to not let pass you by. Most importantly it’s held during NYFW on 5th Avenue so you can imagine the level of dopeness in store. I’ll be posting throughout the next few days to give a full recap of the event and my stay in NYC…so stay tuned for that.
I will definitely be window shopping (and possibly buying) in some of my favorite stores including some high-end designers. Some of my absolute favorites are Stella McCartney, Dior, Zac Posen, YSL, Gucci, Jason Wu, Balmain, and Versace to name a few.
