The Verdict is in 7 week results with @blueprintaesthetics

Good Day Loves!

I hope you’re having an amazing Wednesday and if not, let’s try to end the day better than it’s started. Now let’s get to business!!!! 7 weeks ago I embarked on a challenge with my health and fitness to see if I could improve and tackle my PCOS/Diabetes combo.

Here is me before:

Well here we are 7 weeks later:

Now, if you saw the featured post image you’ll see that I lost a lot of stomach fat in these 7 weeks which for Cysters is almost impossible. In addition, I also began a new combination of drugs that I also believe are helping to contribute to the successful results. I’ll be 100 percent honest: THIS IS NOT EASY NOR IS IT GLAMOROUS AMD GIRLY. However, it indeed works if you commit. For the price point, I think it’s worth it…you will pay more for less insight and guidance. My last disclaimer is: if you aren’t really ready and self motivated, this won’t be for you.

Secondly, I learned sooo much about what truly triggers my weight gain and bloating through this program. I’m literally allergic to most carbs (this is a joke my endocrinologist made about PCOS but she’s right) . I SEE the benefits of quality protein & increased greens and a matrix of carbs that don’t cause my sugar levels to spike and go crazy. Due to this my mid section was able to flourish because finally my body could metabolize the sugar in my bloodstream even with my insulin resistance. So I’m definitely going to do another round but this time focusing on lowering my elevated blood pressure. Unfortunately, I discovered that diabetes impacts the heart as well, which of course freaks me out. Women with PCOS are 2 times more likely to suffer from heart attacks and strokes, and I’m wanting to avoid both.

I know that being a publicly visible plus-size body who advocates for health consciousness may make others in our community uncomfortable but the reality is, excess weight isn’t healthy for everyone. Me wanting to change & get well doesn’t mean I’m ashamed of my full frame, but if it’s not keeping me healthy then it’s time that I change the narrative around self-love and wellness. I wish this journey was solely about vanity, but with so many people dying young from illnesses related to poor health habits…this choice is more so about wanting to live right for as long as I can. So I hope this blog post inspires you more than it creates a stigma that plus bodies aren’t happy being plus. Keep following my journey and stay tuned as I keep going…

Sincerely,

Lolo
